Opportunity Details

Program Duration - 18 months
Compensation - $22 per hour
Housing - 2 week temporary stay upon arrival

Program Description

  • Monthly reporting to ownership of fixed assets for 150+ hotel properties
  • Track Capex projects/spending for budgeted & emergency requests
  • Close-out 100% fulfilled purchase orders in the accounting system (Dynamics)
  • Train closely with other Capex team members regarding capitalization policy, pitching in with daily requests, and day-to-day questions.
  • Prepare/Review and post “expense” to “fixed asset” – reclass journal entries
  • Reconcile “construction-in-progress” accounts and reclass amount to the correct fixed asset account once project is complete
  • Review, assess for appropriateness and process requests for Capital Expenditures from 150+ hotel properties.
  • Serve as primary liaison between properties and corporate leadership on capital spending matters.

Applicant Qualifications

  • To apply for the Trainee program, applicants must hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting and have least 1 year of professional work experience in accounting field, OR be career professionals of 5 or more years of professional experience
  • Excellent English skills and ability to write and communicate effectively
  • Basic understanding of general accounting principles
  • Thorough knowledge of accounts payable function
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on timeliness and accuracy
  • Skill in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel and Word) and software applications
  • Ability to work well in team-oriented environment
