Program Description
- Monthly reporting to ownership of fixed assets for 150+ hotel properties
- Track Capex projects/spending for budgeted & emergency requests
- Close-out 100% fulfilled purchase orders in the accounting system (Dynamics)
- Train closely with other Capex team members regarding capitalization policy, pitching in with daily requests, and day-to-day questions.
- Prepare/Review and post “expense” to “fixed asset” – reclass journal entries
- Reconcile “construction-in-progress” accounts and reclass amount to the correct fixed asset account once project is complete
- Review, assess for appropriateness and process requests for Capital Expenditures from 150+ hotel properties.
- Serve as primary liaison between properties and corporate leadership on capital spending matters.
Applicant Qualifications
- To apply for the Trainee program, applicants must hold a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Accounting and have least 1 year of professional work experience in accounting field, OR be career professionals of 5 or more years of professional experience
- Excellent English skills and ability to write and communicate effectively
- Basic understanding of general accounting principles
- Thorough knowledge of accounts payable function
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with emphasis on timeliness and accuracy
- Skill in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel and Word) and software applications
- Ability to work well in team-oriented environment
