Devil’s Thumb Ranch is a 6,000 acre environmentally friendly guest ranch located approximately 10 miles from Winter Park, Colorado, with emphasis on “rustic elegance” and a true Colorado experience.   Winter activities include cross country ski trails, ice skating, snow shoeing and sleigh rides. Summer activities include fly fishing guided mountain biking, hiking and rafting. Other features including 2 restaurants and a cafe, activities, full spa, and archery.

Culinary - $16.00 per hour
Guest Service/Front Office - $17.00 per hour
Housekeeping Supervisor - $17.00 per hour

About The Location

Tabernash, a small mountain community, is located in northwest Colorado between the towns of Granby and Fraser/Winter Park.

Location: Tabernash is situated in north-central Colorado, near the western edge of Grand County. It is part of the Fraser Valley and is approximately 10 miles southwest of the town of Fraser.
Scenic Setting: The area around Tabernash is known for its picturesque mountainous landscapes. The community is surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Rocky Mountains, offering residents and visitors access to outdoor recreational activities.
Proximity to Winter Park: Tabernash is located near the popular resort town of Winter Park. Winter Park is renowned for its ski resorts, including Winter Park Resort, one of the largest ski resorts in Colorado. This makes Tabernash a convenient location for those who enjoy winter sports.
Ranching and Agriculture: Historically, the region has been involved in ranching and agriculture. The town's history is tied to the development of the railroad and the expansion of the area as a ranching community.

Housing Details

Housing in Employee accommodations

Shuttle provided to and from work & to grocery store/town, shared rooms (2-3 people per room), shared co-ed bathrooms, communal areas: kitchen, living room, laundry facilities.

Monthly Rent: $500/month deducted from paycheck
Housing deposit: $200 *fully refundable – see housing agreement
$50 collected from first paycheck for bedding (bed sheets/pillow case, duvet, pillow), towels

Arrival

Fly into Denver International Airport. (DEN). Before booking a flight, the participant must reach out to Diana (IHC) and coordinate flight and arrival.  Participant will arrange travel from Denver Airport to Tabernash.

Appearance standards

Uniform are provided.    

F&B/Housekeeping/Guest Services: uniform shirts are provided.  Participants must bring: black slacks, dark denim jeans (no ripped jeans), black socks, black non-slip dress shoes, white undershirts
Culinary: chef jackets and aprons/hats are provided. Participant must bring: non-slip black kitchen shoes, socks, chef pants, white undershirts

Appearance standards: No visible tattoos/piercings.

 Additional Details

  • Meals can be purchased from a staff menu or at 50% off from the regular menu during designated employee meal periods
  • Cultural Activities: The Ranch has multiple outdoor activities onsite including: 125 Km of cross country ski trails, horse stables, mountain biking, hiking, fishing and much more. Grand County is full of year around outdoor activities from Grand Lake to Winter Park - participants can partake in resort activities based on availability.
  • Other cultural activities - examples: Taco Tuesdays in the employee housing complex, frequently organized activities such as BBQ's, Staff Football tournament, Sleigh Ride, Fat Bike Tour, etc.
